Perfluorinated borane/borate reagents are typically used with
single-site catalyst to yield well-characterized and high productivity
polymerization catalyst systems. Unlike the methylalumoxane (MAO)
materials, the perfluorinated boron co-catalysts allow for stoichiometric
boron/single-site catalyst ratios for effective polymerization.
Despite the satisfactory performance of perfluorinated boron co-catalysts, there are still needs
for improved boron co-catalysts with different functionalities for
use activation of various metallocene complexes under a variety
of polymerization conditions. Accordingly, Grace Davison Single-Site
Catalysts will participate in R&D and manufacturing activities with
our customers for providing "tailor-made" functionalized boron co-catalysts
in different scales.
