Single-Site Organometallics
In the area of single-site catalysts, we offer the capabilities to manufacture a vast array of organometallic compounds including metallocenes. Multi-step ligand syntheses, including those required for chiral catalysts, are a specialty of ours.

We have experience with all types of ligands:

  • substituted and unsubstituted cyclopentadienyls, indenyls, and fluorenyls
  • nitrogen-based
  • bridged (ethylene, dialkyl and diaryl silyl, dialkyl and diaryl methylene)

We make compounds with any metal, especially

  • Group IV (Ti, Zr, Hf)
  • Group V (V)
  • Group VI (Cr, Mo, W)
  • Group VIII (Ni, Pd, Pt, Co, Rh, Ir, Fe, Ru)

We have experience in making unsymmetric single-site catalysts:

  • Cp'MX3 where Cp' is any cyclopentadienyl, M is metal and X is an ancillary ligand such as Cl, Me, and OMe (e.g., CpZrCl3)
  • Cp'Cp"MCl2 where Cp' and Cp" are different cyclopentadienyls
  • Cp'MX2[-BNR] where Cp' is a general cyclopentadienyl, B is a bridging group
