NEXUS™ Catalyst Series - Technology Summary

The NEXUS series of catalysts combines the unique, rare-earth free Z-21 zeolite with GRACE Davison proprietary Selective Active Matrix (SAM) systems.

Although Z-21 zeolite contains no rare-earths, it can be designed to equilibrate over the full range of coke-selective unit-cell sizes through a proprietary stabilisation process.

Z-21 has been shown both commercially and in pilot plant testing to produce substantially lower gas and coke in the presence of contaminant metals compared with conventional REUSY based catalysts.

Within each family of NEXUS catalysts, the ability to independently adjust the activity and selectivities of the Z-21 zeolite, the matrix type and the ratio of zeolite/matrix activity allow for a tremendous degree of formulation flexibility. NEXUS catalysts can be designed to selectively crack any type of feed to give maximum yields of valuable liquid products.
