The World's Leading Supplier of Fluid Cracking Catalysts and Additives: Grace Davison has made many important contributions in fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) since we manufactured the world's first synthetic FCC catalyst in 1942. This includes the introduction of the first spray dried, microspheroidal catalyst in 1948, the pioneering of the first commercial zeolite-based FCC catalyst in 1964, and the introduction of ZSM-5 based additives in 1986.

1982 Start of Fluid Catalytic Cracking Catalyst Production (Alumina-Sol Binder technology) in Worms, Germany.
1986 Coke-Selective Deep Bottoms Cracking Matrix developed.
1989 Second production plant for FCC catalysts started up.
1989 USY Zeolite with Enhanced Gasoline Selectivity (G-modification) invented.
1994 Pseudocrystalline Matrix Technologies for Deep Bottoms Cracking in High Metals Environments (SAM-100 and SAM-200) introduced.
1995 Gasoline Sulphur Reduction Additive (GSR-x) launched.
1996 High Activity, High Stability Coke Selective Zeolite (CSSN), Short Contact Time FCC Catalysts (SCT) and Selective Active Matrix (SAM) systems invented.FUTURA and KRISTAL catalyst families introduced.
1997 BRILLIANT catalyst family launched
1998 Z-21 Zero RE Zeolite (NEXUS) commercialised. CSX Zeolite invented.
1999 SAM-700 Matrix for Gasoline Olefins Alleviation (GOAL) developed.
2000 Resid Cracking Catalyst Technology based on Tuneable Matrix Aluminas (TMAs) (ResidMax) introduced.
2001 Novel Matrix Technologies (NMT) launched.
2003 EnhanceR Technology Platform: Start-up of the EnhanceR manufacturing plant.
2003 NEKTOR and NOMUS catalyst families for residue processing introduced.
2004 NADIUS catalyst family, based on EnhanceR Technology, launched for low metals, hydrotreated feeds applications.
2005 ProtAgon Propylene Maximisation catalyst family for FCC units running in the petrochemical mode successfully commercialised.
2005 NOMUS-DMAX catalyst family for FCC units running in LCO/Diesel maximisation mode introduced.
