GFS™ Catalyst Series - Technology Summary

GFS sulphur reduction technology was introduced in late 1999 with the successful commercialisation of GFS-2000. Further developments have enabled the incorporation of the GFS functionality into our KRISTAL resid catalyst technology as well as our BRILLIANT and NEXUS catalyst series. This substantially expands the range of catalyst formulations that provide sulphur reduction for a wide range of applications.

GFS catalysts have been proven commercially to reduce FCC gasoline sulphur by as much as 30% versus REUSY grades. In addition, improved activity retention and lower coke and gas yields have also been reported, indicating improved metals tolerance.
