GSR-1 Gasoline Sulfur Reduction Additive |

| Technology Summary: | ||||||||||||||
| In order to meet current EPA complex model regulations, many refineries are turning to catalytic methods for gasoline sulfur reduction in the FCCU. In some instances, up to 90% of the sulfur present in a refiner's gasoline pool comes off the FCCU. Typically, 2 - 20% of the sulfur fed to the FCCU winds up in the gasoline product stream with high gasoline sulfur selectivities.Through an extensive research campaign, GRACE Davison has developed an additive for the FCCU which removes 8 to 25% or more of this gasoline sulfur. This is accomplished by catalytically cracking the sulfur molecules into hydrocarbon and H2S. | ||||||||||||||
| Commercial Experience: | ||||||||||||||
| GSR-1 has been used by over 14 different refineries worldwide with great success. Total gasoline sulfur reductions between 8 and 25% have been commercially observed, as well as light cut reductions of more than 35% with 10% GSR-1. | ||||||||||||||
